The 20th edition of the Mediterranean Equestrian Games came to a close on 1 September at the Horse Club Terra Jonica – S. Giorgio Jonico in Taranto.
The Tunisian squad selected by Coach Zied AOUINA to take part in these Mediterranean Games is as follows, in alphabetical order:
- Charles BEN MIMOUN and SO SEE YOU JAMES Z
- Ghazi ELLOUZE and BRASILIA DE L'ABBAYE
- Mohamed GUIZANI and EDELBERT DU HOUSSOIT
- Omar TRABELSI and BLACK STAR
Following the team events, which took place on 30 August 2026 from 5.30 pm, Tunisia finished 8th out of 10 competing teams and, at the end of the two rounds, had accumulated 37 penalty points across its three riders:
- Ghazi ELLOUZE et BRASILIA DE L'ABBAYE with 8 pts of penalties
- Omar TRABELSI avec BLACK STAR with 9 pts de pénalités.
- Mohamed GUIZANI avec EDELBERT DU HOUSSOIT with 20 pts of penalties.
The courses consisted of a course with 13 obstacles and 16 jumps at a height of 1.40 meters.
For the individual final on 1 September, the events were contested by 32 competitors representing 14 nations. The events comprised two rounds at 1.40m: the first round consisted of twelve obstacles and fifteen jumps, including a water jump, whilst the second round was shortened to nine obstacles and eleven jumps.
For the final standings, the results of these two rounds were combined with those of the two team rounds held on Sunday 30 August.

The 2024–2025 sporting season concluded on Sunday 18 May at the Hippoclub in Chorfech (Sidi Thabet) with the Tunisian Show Jumping Championship for the senior category.
After two days of competition featuring extremely close results, the third day revealed the winner: rider Omar Trabelsi, with his horse Black Star from the Hippoclub Association, was crowned Tunisian champion following a clean round.
We also congratulate the runners-up in second and third place: rider Ghazi Ellouze with his horse Brasilia from the Friends of the Horse Association, who took second place, and rider Mohamed Ghizani with his horse Edbert de Haussuyt from the Hippoclub Association, who secured third place.
A big congratulations to the other participants in this tournament who showed great determination to join the ranks of the winners.

The FEI Solidarity department has published the results of the FEI World Jumping Challenge competitions held during the 2025 season.
The team rankings placed Tunisia in second place out of 30 countries ranked out of the 34 countries participating.
This team performance is the result of the individual rankings of our riders, which were as follows:
- Category A: First place went to rider Ghazi ELLOUZE with his mare Brasilia De L'abbaye out of 189 participants.
- Category B: Rider Mohamed Rayen BOUHLEL was ranked third out of 194 participants with his mare Faveur Au Heup.
- Category C: Rider Sophia BEN MAHMOUD was ranked third out of 236 participants with her mare Iacapa De Blondel.

The FEI has published the final list of participants for the FEI Jumping World Challenge final, which will take place in Dakar, Senegal, from November 25-30, 2025, and our experienced rider Ghazi Ellouze will represent Tunisia at this sporting event.

The Tunisian National Olympic Committee held a ceremony to honor the winners of the African School Games, including our young talents from the jumping and endurance teams. The President of the Tunisian National Olympic Committee, Mahrez Boussaian, and the Director General of Sports, Ihsane Zoug, emphasized the importance of this participation, which resulted in exceptional results, paving the way for a promising future for these young people, starting with the African Youth Games.

On August 2, 2025, the first African School Games, Algeria 2025, concluded, with Tunisian equestrianism winning:
- A Silver Medal won by young rider Salima Talmoudi in the individual jumping competition.
- A Silver Medal in the team endurance competition.
- A Bronze Medal in the team show jumping competition.

The First African School Games, Algeria 2025
